I would like to submit my own personal story of being a Highlights Kid. Highlights magazine meant a lot to me and I'd like to share my story.

I am providing my e-mail address so that Highlights for Children, Inc. can contact me to confirm receipt of my story and perhaps communicate with me regarding my story. I understand that not all stories will be selected for use, but I understand and agree that if my story is chosen, I will not receive compensation of any kind, monetary or otherwise.

I assure Highlights for Children that my story is original and does not infringe the rights of anyone else. My story has not been previously published by any third party or distributed in any form or trademarked, copyrighted or patented. I further assure Highlights for Children that my story does not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party, or share any trade secrets of a third party.

By submitting my story, I am giving my story to Highlights for Children. I assign to Highlights for Children all worldwide right, title and interest in and to my story and to all intellectual property created thereby and arising out of the submission of my story. This is a complete assignment that is irrevocable and in perpetuity so ownership of the story will vest totally in Highlights for Children and will be effective for the entire duration of the copyrights, including all rights to derivative works. I waive all rights of attribution and integrity for specific works created in respect of all marketing, advertising and commercial uses of my story.

Without limiting the foregoing assignment of rights, I authorize Highlights for Children and its affiliates and their successors and assigns to edit, post, use, publish and display my story worldwide at any time on this web site or other web sites, in print or audio, and for any other lawful purposes. I understand that my story may be shared, redistributed, copied or otherwise used for personal or commercial purposes by others viewing this web site, and that Highlights for Children may not be able to prevent any such action by others.

I agree to release, discharge and hold Highlights for Children together with its directors, officers, employees, successors and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising from or connected with the submission and use of my story.
